I'm convinced they added some fixes to that episode at the last second after all the sudden backlash for how shitty and flat their animation looks

Bottom is a massive improvement, and even if the lighting isn't 1000% accurate to the directions of light in reality, it still separates the characters from the background and adds a 3D illusion which is a big part of why this show looks like garbage even on static frames. For the most part, only major fight scenes get lighting

I'm usually a stickler for these thing and notice glaring animation issues, but little of most of Season 3, I think this show looks good. I don't like the OP bottom. It just gives it a different tone and style.
