I have Prime but I no longer watch videos on the site. Instead I browse the site to see if there is anything good, then I torrent the video. I am not going to pay extra money just so I don't have to see ads.Why is this company so fucking greedy. Bezos is launching rockets and he expects me to watch ads or cough up more dough?
How about just pirating everything.
>>220043436Prime has meatspace benefits
>>220043373It's only worth the 9€ this month for the Champions league quarter and semi finals. Every other month of the year Amazon Prime is completely useless. They are no HBO Max or Paramount snd they never will be unless they buy them
I've used adblock for as long as I can remember but I only just realized in the last year or so that the "free with ads" movies on youtube are just free movies without ads with adblock. They've got quite a selection.
>>220043373I have prime but still pirate their shows because their user interface is fucking garbage, and the DRM these streaming sites use is unnecessary and makes my fans run
No matter how many times I upvote/downvote shit on Prime so it can tailor my interests it still recommends me garbage on the front page that I would never watch. When I do find something I like it's usually me coming across it by accident.
>>220043373>I am not going to pay extra money just so I don't have to see ads.right >I have Primeyou'll just pay period to not even use the service >Instead I browse the site to see if there is anything good, then I torrent the video.when you can browse their library without even needing a subscription in the first place
>>220044530its funny they spend god knows how much on all this DRM shit and cost everyone a bunch in extra hardware wear and electricity and it STILL doesn't stop shit getting put on public trackers same day lol.
>>220043373It's always the same. I remember when cable tv first started (yes I'm that old lol). No commercials! And there shouldn't be since you had to pay a monthly subscription fee (this was back when all tv was free - cable really was a huge change in the industry) But then they realized they could make more money with ads, and have people pay more to be ad free. Premium and basic cable were born! Bunch of bullshit. Same with ... oh I don't know ... youtube for example.
>>220046954at least in youtube i can block ads, but because Prime has a bunch of bullshit uBlock Origin doesn't even touch it. Probably because it requires Widepenis.
>>220043373Bezos is a kike/thread
I don't watch much tv, but Prime saves me enough trips to the store to be worth the subscription anyway. It fucking shocked me though when JJK and Invincible were airing at the same time for a couple of weeks when I realized how much better of an experience I was having with the anime piracy site than the one made by fucking amazon
>>220043373>I have PrimeGood goy.
>>220044530My rig doesn't have this problemI get a message about my hardware not supporting DRM and then it goes and shows me the HD version anyways lol. Stupid UI though, won't even let you set playback speed>>220047741Also this
>>220047919see>>220047868there are material benefits to Prime, i don't have it for the fucking progressive tv and movies
funny how they switched to ad-supported content right after their super-expensive Lord of the Rings show came out and no one watched itViewers are getting punished for the bad decisions at Amazon Studios
How is advertising even legal?
>>220047983there are no laws about good taste, and people are fucking stupid. apparently all that horseshit getting hammered into their eyeballs influences some non-negligible portion of them.i mostly just feel anger, disgust, and exhaustion when i see advertisements now. they aren't even funny like when i was a kid. they're just noisy and filled with minorities.
>>220043373I have ads on both Prime and Netflix right now (Netflix is free through phone plan) and finding the ads aren't necessarily a big drawback. All they really do is make it feel a little more like watching broadcast TV again, and they give you a minute or two in which to check your phone and be distracted and do less of that while watching the actual show/movie
>>220048811>can't stop checking his phone every houryou have bigger problems than ads in your life
>>220049793*also, i'm trans btw
>>220049883Why do you announce that?
>>220043373These niggers just removed 4k/HDR unless you pay $5 a month too.
>>220049927Good question, you'd have to ask >>220049793what they were thinking
>>220049943You will own nothing and like it...
>>220047983Imagine the smell
>>220048811>and they give you a minute or two in which to check your phone and be distracted and do less of that while watching the actual show/movieThis honestly. It also lets me actually see what stupid shit "normal" people are being exposed to because I don't watch TV.
>>220043436Ads, quality, and being able to watch any movie or show that I'm actually interested in watching are the reason I pirate. These fucking streaming platforms expect me to pay either $10 a month for 1080p shit WITH ads or like $30 a month for 4k/8k without ads just to watch their shitty collection of direct to video crap that I have zero interest in. To get a complete library, I’d have to subscribe to Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, etc, easily getting to like $200+ a month just for ultra HD ad-free tiers. Plus their 4k streams are always highly compressed and look like shit compared to the high bitrate stuff I can get from pirating. Also even with those subs, premium new releases are usually locked behind PVOD for like $20 making the subs completely useless for new shit.
>>220050412>To get a complete library, I’d have to subscribe to Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, etc, easily getting to like $200+ a month just for ultra HD ad-free tiersthis is exactly what people were worried about in the post-netflix era when every fucking telecom company wanted their own streaming site. instead of one $15/mo you would have to sign up for 10 of them and now here we are.it's so fucking gay, i will never ever not pirate shit, fuck these thieves. even if i was wealthy i would pirate.
>>220043373I've only one use for AMZN prime's servers, and it never involves watching or streaming anything on their platforms
>>220049883>faggot zoomer gets called out for having shit attention span; lashes out with tranny nonsensemany such cases
Money was tight so no I stropped Amazon prime subscription and then the realization hit me I never needed it. I can wait to get all my shit delivered at the same time. I actually prefer it because these fuckers leave it by my door and it gets nicked. I torrent everything always have so I don't need it. I did buy paramount for a year because eot was half price and cheap just to watch star trek episode whwen I wanted but they they did unskipable ads and fucked me off. They stopped it but I'll never buy it again
>>220047983>picI would unironically prefer this as my biggest need is legroom
>>220047983It may be legal but it's not moral. Companies who think they can disrespect you for money should get no sale.
