>stuck with a dead end job>little brother landed another girlfriend and a job at a prestigious research centerWhat are some characters you used to laugh at when you're younger but relate to them more and more with each passing year?
I suggest you watch the movie again and learn the lesson
>>220052864The media literacy in some people just can't be helped.
>>220052830>have loser friend from high school>only guy you could ever relate to>never feel alone in the world because he was just like you>graduate and move apart, stay in touch online>he self improoves and slowly starts hitting all the milestones you both missed>pretend to be happy when he says he got his first gf and had sex>pretend to be happy to hear he's moving out from his parents>by 27, he's a 100% normie with a wife, house, 4 kids by 27>can't relate to him at all anymore, living 2 completely different lives>stop talking to him and continue posting here for the rest of your life
>>220052944"media literacy" has to be the most ironically term of the 21st century
>>220052864His little brother probably got it on the first watch. Anon on the other hand...
>>220053226
>>220053226Can confirm, but not only that, his thread over on /mu/ is also far superior and has three times the posters.
>>220052864Be content with mediocrity and fuck you object of envy's wife when she offers herself to you?
>>220053353>he doesnt knowSalieri literally prays and begs for a gift of music from God, he gets it, and it isnt enough
>>220052864WHAT IS THE LESSON? Accept your place and others gifts?
>>220053353>>220053404Salieri prays for divine talent, God sends it to him in the form of a stupid teenager with an annoying laugh. At the beginning of the movie Salieri is in a perfect position to take dumb Mozart under his wing due to his influence at court, respectable name in Vienna, trust from Mosarts wife, ect. Also Mozart has daddy issues and would probably have benifitted from having a stable adult around. Salieri/Mosart could have been the musical powercouple of the century. It could have been the perfect successtory making Salieri one of the most important people in music history. But what does he do? He lets his ego get in the way, despises God and the gift He send him and ruins both Mozart and himself. God punishes him by letting him waste away while Mosarts music only gets more popular. Its a cautionary tale: no we dont all get to be working at prestigious research centers, but to get mad and jealous at the people who do is just harmfull self sabotage.
>>220052830You should be happy for your brother's success instead of seething like a bitch.
>>220053872The irony is that Salieri and Mozart worked on a piece together and had no ill-will in real life.
I hate this stupid "great man theory" of music. There are so many fantastic composers out there. We don't have to mythologize the most popular ones. At the end of the day they were just people.
>>220053872ok but why would yahweh bother with a couple of edomites who are soulless matter anyway?
>>220053024Wow, that's rough. Basically the reason I stayed away from Facebook. I don't need normies rubbing their good fortune in my face.
>>220054539they were actually best friends until a dumb movie hundreds of years later ruined his name
>>220055389Nah the rumors that Salieri sabotaged/killed Mozart were already a thing when he was alive and they deeply bothered him.
>>220052830>finally get cushy job>95% of self-loathing just vanishes>no longer give a shit about brother working in rich part of aisiaEnjoy your 1-day weekend you workaholic
