I've always liked the early seasons, it's crazy to me Trey Parker has said he'd remove the first 3 seasons entirely if he could, you know, the seasons well before the show turned in to his personal soap box.

They obviously should have cancelled it with the Assburgers episode where Stan was a used as a mouthpiece for Matt and Trey’s feelings about the show and about how much they hated doing it and wanted it to end. That was the spiritual finale of the series in my mind, everything afterwards was zombie South Park.

Theyre so lazy and checked out they don’t even do full episodes, they do like two minutes of commentary per and they spend all of that time making it clear that they shit out their show’s episodes with little thought or care in a mere three days and then forget them. They don’t care about their show, it’s quality, or their fans.

>>220061563It's kind of hard to give a specific timeframe. Early seasons are lol so randumb but entertaining, and as the seasons go on you get some standout humor but it's increasingly wrapped in topical bullshit that dates the show and makes it cringey to watch within years. Overall I'd say it used to be good 20-15 years ago on certain episodes but as of now it is just cringey topical stuff all the time. It did lose the plot with the farms and them banking on Hillary winning 10 years ago derailing the plot, which shows you just how overwhelmingly topical they had become.
