>>220063591They thought they had it with GRRM. Maybe if tubby had finished his books, they'd have been right. But it really takes a talented writer who wants to build an expansive world and a long running storyline. These movies worked since there was already a huge amount to draw from and put onto the screen. So it'll have to be a long and successful book series first. As fantasy, it'll always be in the shadow of LOTR too.
