It easily just rotates on its tracks to hit the next one.

The real answer is veterans exaggerating. When polled for a book about WW2 strategy most veterans said the weapon they feared the most was the Tiger. However, it wasn't used as much until late in the war and even then it was constantly breaking down and rarely used in urban warfare, the number of American soldiers who ever saw a Tiger was very small. The legend grew by word of mouth and now it's part of "history". Really makes you wonder what else in history is more myth than fact.
