OP here. I didn’t even try one episode of season six everyone told me to stop at season five so I did. Are the leader seasons really that bad I thought the series after season five ended at a very good spot.

Honestly, it's bad. It will never reach the heights of S1-5 again. At times it will just be bad, even comical when it shouldn't be.
But if you want to spend more comfy adventure time with the brothers, you would continue watching.
I continued watching because of that but I didn't bother to see the final episode.

You missed out. S5 went all out and the series won a fuckton of awards. The first half of 6 was an awkward "where do we go from here?" and then it smoothed out and was really good. 7 and 8 are VERY good. The real end of the series is the last 5 minutes of S8, when you realize they're just gonna keep dragging this thing on forever.

Theres some really good episodes mixed in after season 5. My cut off point was 15 minutes of season 12, maybe ill try to power through. But the vibe of the show just feels different and the mom is an annoying cunt and the idea of her having a lot of screen time is off putting.

S5 would have been a great ending. there's maybe 10 episodes i'd call "good" after that.

Nice one OP. You can also watch Weekend At Bobby's S6E4, The French Mistake S6E15, Fan Fiction S10E5, Baby S11E4 and Scoobynatural S13E16 if you want more. They're all great standalone episodes and the only good things after S5. And you should definitely watch Scoobynatural, trust me it's a treat.
