Prestige vs Illusionist
you know arma’s advantage right? it had loads of astronaut space scenes whereas deep impact had endless earth office scenes…

90s disaster movies were absolute schlock
Dante’s peak and volcano
armageddon by a mile. deep impact is so boring.
>>220065632half of these don't match at all
>>220065726Lol yea, it's a very comprehensive list but if two movies are one year apart they shouldn't be considered.
>>220065780a couple months apart at most. they make these to pull viewership from the other movie>>220065600 like these that came out 2 months apart
I never liked the genre. I went with my mum to see Twister and Volcano, and even at my young age I knew they were absolute fucking trash.
I can recognize that Deep Impact is the better movie but Armageddon is just so fucking entertaining, funny, epic, and manages to have genuine feels throughout. That god damn soundtrackThe summer i saw it i also watched The Rock and Face/Off What a time to be alive
>>220065600I watched Illusionist and holy shit it sucked hard. Prestige wins all the way.
>>220065984Deep Impact is not better though. These movies are made purely for entertainment, and in that category, Armageddon wins hands down. There's a reason no one really talks about Deep Impact. It's boring, stuffy, slow and not all that entertaining.
>>220065899My grandparents took me to see Twister in theaters when I was 9. I was so hyped for the movie. I loved it because the villain is nature, its like the opposite of everything I have been told previously by movies.
>>220065984>genuine feels throughout>the scene where he sends AJ character back up the elevator with the patch then says goodbye to his daughteri hold back tears everytime
>>220066120>I loved it because the villain is natureFor me that's the problem. Nature is not villainous or heroic or anything other than indifferent nature. But Hollywood convention demands a villain to be defeated, and that leads us into some very silly stories.
