It reminded me more of Supernatural. It can be pretty comfy, but be prepared for a bunch of plot holes and unresolved threads.
The werewolf guy hard carries the show. I liked the tomboy who looked like she smelled bad too.

The worst part about the show is his irrideemable cunt of a girl friend who never leaves the show. Simp lead actor refused to let his pet hole get booted and it honestly makes every fucking season worse.
It's middle of the road fine. Sometimes it's a fun lil' show that has fun with the premise, other times it's boring and predictable. It's a 'monster of the week' show and it tends to do just fine with it. I always just iamgine the actors having to pull weird faces seriously while making it before the VFX were added.

I remember it being fairly gruesome at times. There was a spider woman that puked acid down guy's throats and sucked their melted insides out. She had a qt spider daughter too.
It's okay for a motw show and it has a great evil woman.

It's pretty good early on when it's just a buddy cop show about this guy and his wolfman bro solving weird cases no one else can handle. Then they start getting into dumb monster royal family politics, the wolfman gets a kitsune gf, and like half the cast gets clued into the fact that monsters are lurking everywhere. I kind of lost interest at that point.
