I watched 3 bond movies for the first time this weekend (Dr No, Goldfinger and From Russia With Love)Last week I watched a movie The Spy Who Loved MeI think they're all decent flicks, I never really watched bond movies apart from the daniel craig ones, the pierce brosnan ones i remember seeing growing up but i never found them that good

Every single bond film fucking sucked except for goldeneye and goldfinger. The only good performances and acceptable stories albeit flawed are the Sean Connery era. Pierce brosnans only good one is frankly goldeneye which is a shame. There was potential to do something good.. it would’ve been better if goldeneye had been the final Brosnan film, and Alec Trevelyan should’ve been a character that recurs in the Brosnan films and we get to know him and actually see his bond… with James form.. it would actually have added something nice..

Just a really fun 80s revenge tale and Sanchez is one of the best Bond villains, plus you have Q in the field helping Bond which was kino. Oh, and Pam, best Bond girls of all time.

LALD/TMWTGG are the only bond movies in 1.85:1 and both look a bit dirtier and cheaper. it fits LALD, i think it hurts golden gun more.

>>220069706I think Golden Gun is beautiful film, the Southeast Asia locations are incredible. Both the indoor locations like Scaramanga's lair and the Bottoms Up club, and the outdoor locations are all 10/10. Definitely feels more expensive than LALD
>>220069806golden gun has some incredible shots. there's a few night time shots that look really amazing, seeing thailand in the 70s is cool. the cut to the strippers ass as soon as bottoms up is mentioned is cool too.i think my own issue is the movie is so damn brown. that's a personal thing i guess, but when i think golden gun, i think of just dirty brown tones. i think scaramanga's island being so colorful was a deliberate choice to give the movie some beautiful color after all the fugly environments spy who loved me went back to the original format for the better i think. the only issue i have is they had to reshoot the gunbarrel and the second moore gunbarrel is shittier in every way imo, except for the flared pants. too bad they used it well into the 80s when they were long out of style

My current top five areThunderballFrom Russia With LoveLicense to KillGoldeneyeOn Her Majesty's Secret ServicePam and Domino are the best girls.Connery is the GOAT, all are great. Casino and Quantum are a solid double feature, but I don't care for the remaining Craig films. They aren't fun even in a Die Another Day way. The pre Craig run is ridiculously great, every film is entertaining, warts and all.
