>I AM... THE LAW
Rob Schneider was an absolute gem in this, always a pleasure and a treat when you find him starring in a movie you’re currently watching
>NOTHING IS OVER! NOTHING!
>>220069134> I AAAM THE LAWWW... Dr. Han...
>>220069189Worst part of the movie actually
>>220069134
>>220069134> You betrayed the law!> LLLLLAAAAAAWWWWW!!!
>>220069134Hello THE LAW.Please protect me from material deprivation.
This scene was an absolutely accurate depiction of the comic book characterincredible ost as wellhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qolk_rDA9xU
>>220069134Brutal mogging
Actually a fun action cheese movie but I don't like how everyone seems to disrespect the Judges or doesn't take them seriously. It makes it seem like this whole system was made up just last week.
>>220069859As much as I loved Dredd and Karl Urban, I really wish they followed the Judge Dredd aesthetic more like the Stallone movie.
>>220069859neck and jawmogged
>>220069859Who mogged who?
>>220070046Stallone's jaw was superior.
>>220069361
honestly a p. decent 90s summer action movie, just not a good dredd movie
>>220069538sounds like the comic book sucks
Hello, Law.I'm CIA. I don't see you on the list.
>>220069224lmaooo>>220069134Does Dredd work for free?
>>220069134Hi The Law, I'm Dad!
>>220069305
>>220069859The Stallone version is a better movie, he was perfectly cast and it has a pretty woman.
>>220069538Alan Silvestri banged out some phenomanal scores, its amazing he hasnt won an oscar
>>220069134laws are the law, not the people who enforce them
>>220071220shut the fuck up you retarded faggot
>>220069859ouch, 2012 bros what went wrong?
Chef's kiss.
>>220069361the numerous ytpmv edits of this were great
>>220069134https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hyph_DZa_GQ
If you remove the suit on 2012 is not even a Dredd movie. You wouldnt even notice its a Judge Dredd movie. Its a raid wannabe police action movie. Stallone's is a Judge Dredd movie.
I want more Judge Dredd movies set in the other parts of the ruined world. Make it more grand, crazy scifi like the 1997 movie, and more turned up violence like Urban's movie.
>>220073370I haven't read the comics since the 90s, but I recall that they were mainly focused on Mega City One and the Cursed Earth around it. You hardly ever saw the other Mega Cities, and when you did, they were populated with comedic regional stereotypes.
>>220073612We need Texas City kino
>>220072395the stallone dogshit is a pointless american 'action' film with no action in it. remove the costumes and you just have rob schneider jewing and sniveling around in a sequel to "don't move or my mom will shoot".americans should be prevented from commenting on anything to do with Dredd because they're clinically retarded and have no taste
>>220073657filled with jeets and wetbacks
Its funny reading about this film and how the director wanted to take in a more serious way and Stallone was like lets not, it does work even with Rob Schneider, he makes the angel family stuff great as much as anyone. I dont think its ever got the critic credit it deserves a bit like demolition man.
>>220074256>it does work even with Rob SchneiderI just don't agree. Schneider's lame antics ruined it for me, and for many others. It's okay to have comedy in a Dredd story, but make sure it's GOOD comedy.
>>220074104Sure. The Judge Dredd comic is all about mocking society's oddities
>>220074256Yeah, I feel like everyone was way too harsh on it. It was fun and the effects were glorious. It deserved at least a sequel or two.
>>220069134https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7TRF7jrSM4
>>220074454Yeah they do grate for most of it i cant argue with some scenes, like the joke with him pissing his pants on the bike? and then the cringe ending? but i do like the scene with him and dredd on the plane and his impression, and then the stuff with the angel family and the block war at the start. Its a bitter pill to swallow but i think it works at times, and its far less annoying in demolition man as he has less screen time and isnt a main character. I do think a lot of what is good in there is overlooked by him and some of stallones input. If we had Cobra judge dredd with no rob schnieder it might have sucked even more, im still happy we have it and stand by my opinion its judged a bit harshly, at least it was back then.
>>220072190i still look up this onion clip on occasionabout the only one better was the future casthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKC21wDarBo
>>22006985995’ is superior in every single way. Dredd is a cheap fan movie for redit faggots. Urban is a weak, pathetic clown.
>see endless praise for Urban's movie>finally watch it>it's a surprisingly cheap movie with terrible action>carl is not even particularly good/tv/ bro. you lied to me.
>>220074256Did you know Schneider's character was supposed to get killed by the robot in the Statue of Liberty lab? IIRC it ripped him in half or something equally gruesome. They apparently shot it too. I've read an interview with one of the effects guys who was surprised it wasn't in the film when they screened it for the crew. Instead you get this awkward insert of him on a stretcher at the end that was shot with none of the other main actors much later on.
>>220076203Weird. Maybe they were considering a sequel at some point and wanted to bring him back. Would have been great to see him torn apart.
>>220069134>You were told to hate this movie
his evil brother was basically Richie Aprille
>>220076203There was also a cut scene where Dredd fights the clones.
>>220077356they made some weird guns for the film. Too bulky.
The artbook for the 1995 movie is really cool. It's the shooting script interspersed with tons of concept art for practically everything in the movie. It used to be on the Internet Archive but it's gone now. You can still get it on Anna's Archive though.
