How does Darth Maul find them on Tattooine? They mention a trace but what does Maul trace? The bait signal was sent to (I assume) several star systems. If they didn't respond to the signal, how does he trace them to Tattooine?
>>220069953the bait was sent to the queen's ship. they received and opened the transmitted message, which at least gave maul the planet they were in (but still forced him to probe the planet looking for them). had they replied back they probably would give away their exact location
on the planet he had that flying drone thing if i remember right

>>220070854The message might have had some kind of malware that sent a ping as soon as it's opened, or maybe Padme was weak and sent some kind of response (she was re-watching the message later and after all she is 14 in TPM), They might have sent word to Palpatine that they were hiding in that region of something and he relayed it to Maul, or maybe Maul used the force to guide him.
>>220072321Well... Padme can't have done it because she doesn't get back to the ship in time. The malware seems most plausible secondary to one of the crew/handmaidens (not Padme) disobeying Obi-Wan and replying to the message early on.
