If you watch Aliens (1986) immediately after Alien (1979), you will notice that Lazy James Cameron just replaced the 'rescue Jonesy' plot with 'rescue Newt' plot in his action slop cash grab remake. David Fincher did the right thing. Shame that we didn't get to see his full Newt autopsy scene.
