Gothic is one of the most overrated "hidden gems" ever.

I played it last year and I can enjoy old shit games but my god it was fucking trash

poles massively overrate it because it's the only game they got besides HoMM in the 90s

It's normal for Eurogames/jank, and this game is pure Eurojank.
I played gothic when I was a kid and didn't understood much ofthe gameplay or story but the vibe as a kid was wonderful, it wasn't like other games taht I tried on PC or PS1 at the time, the feeling of working att he blacksmith and forgin a sword then go to the tavern and beign chased by bandits it was different than Final fantasy.
As an adult I replayed some months ago with a guide and the game felt really Euro I mean it has a lot of soul and vibe but at the same time it feels so empty, don't get me wrong it was a good game and the plot it was basic
"just gather magic metal to fight orcs and stuff" but is narrated in a captvating way, like many euro stuff it has vibes between boring and exciting, so a gothic movie I imagine something out of a German production so a 2 hour movie with 1 hour of nothing burger and 1 hour of interesting stuff that you'll forget next week when an amerislop comes out and take it's place in your mind.
