Film students can’t sit through The Conversation anymore. What is happening to society? Can we judge ourselves on the health of our art?
>>

The Conversation is a 30 minute plot stretched 2 hours to make it commercially feasible. It's mostly filler. The students are right.

These students aren’t watching movies at all.
>>

Good, Hollywood is as pozzed to the brim.
>>
>>220086334
But the students are more pozzed for paying student fees and loans out of the arse.

>Paying loans
Just default on them. Debt problem solved.
>>
>>220086334
Movies exist outside of Hollywood

Your credit rating still matters. You need it for applying to get a home loan or a credit card.
>>220086534
Indeed.

I got a film degree a few years back and it was weird to me how many of my classmates weren't cinephiles and didn't want to watch classic or arthouse movies. No idea why they even chose to major in film.
>>
>>220086259
You should just read the Wikipedia articles of movies to get the plot instead of watching them and wasting your time with all the filler.
>>
>>220086620
>Reading wikipedia articles
Huge waste of time, just have AI summarize the wiki for you

Not if you're unwhite.

Not if everyone defaults with me.
>>

Who told you it just goes away? College jews are still after me for 5k I owe on a 6-course program I took a decade ago. It will still come up whenever you try to finance anything.
>>
It's a boring movie
>>
>>220086638
Absolute genius. My cell phone probably would have eventually thought of that for me but thanks for the tip.
>>
>>220086605
That sucks that you didn’t have collegiality. Do you have any movies you really liked to write essays on? Also, do you know Senses of Cinema? I studied English but there was a film critic in my department who wrote for them.

The last movie I watched was the Masque of Red Death directed by Roger Corman and starring Vincent Price. It was on Tubi. I watched the whole thing but I did take breaks every now and then to use the restroom or to grab some more food since I was watching the movie during eating dinner.

>he had to grade his most recent exam on a curve to keep students marks within a normal range
>The professor I spoke with didn't blame the students for their shortcomings
And this is why things will only get worse.
>>
Jesus Christ, it's so over.
>>
>>220086661
Just don't mind them.

The professors are paid to be nice.

The last movie I saw was infact Saturday Night.
>Logan's Run
Wanted to watch since it's a must for Sci-fi movie watchers it was on my list since forever and really nice movie loved the starting premise and the Carousel scene got me hooked.
