Are concerts as fun as they look on film? I've never been in a crowd of this many people. Seems like a good way to get pickpocketed or felt up.
If you're an extrovert, yes.
>>220087355Only if you are passionate about the music. In a crowd like that you are essentially locked in a prison of an ocean of people.I used to be a raver and would go for the love of the music but i would generally always be at the back so I am able to get free from the swarm easily.I have been to notting hill carnival a few times and its rather overbearing and despite there being more people than at a concert, its in the streets, not everyone is in the same street.if you are serious about the music though it can be a kind of high like a drug especially because the people around you are all there for the same experience. Its like a religious high.
>>220087355Going to a mosh pit in a metal show is pure retard bliss. Loudly singing out of key is also great fun, but these days people record shows way too much on their phones, which is a real buzzkill.
>>220087470I've just don't know any artists I'd be pumped enough to go see in a crowd like that. MJ, sure. But there's no MJ anymore and no one to take his place. I'm only 30 but I didn't like the music that was around when I grew up, so now I'd feel like a poser going to a concert for something I wasn't really into. Just keep it in the regrets pile.>>220087375I know introverts who have been to concerts. Apparently they just do drugs and have a nice time that way.
>>220087355its like going to church but not boring
>>220087622And you have to spend a week's worth of wages to pay for it.
>>220087355Zoomers are the Great Filter.
>>220087621>like a poser going to a concert for something I wasn't really into.No point of going then.I felt the same. I was never into commerical pop music, where the biggest normies go, like MJ or pop bands.I like some bands that may have had large concerts but any time i have saw them was in gigs rather than massive concerts. There was a few bands I wanted to see but never got the chance as I was a poorfag.I was into hip hop a bit in the early 00s but even then i would have never gone to see something like eminem in concert, Commercial normie shit.Raving was my thing, which is huge anyway.Only band I would go to a concert to see now is wagikki band as that shit would be so fucking unique. they have done massive concerts before but i think only ever in japan.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ponTbDDMYjw
>>220087771I'm not a zoomer, I'm a late millennial.
the girls definitely get felt upt.feeler upper
>>220087696the best shows (clubs and small venues) are usually less famous bands which are charging way less, I've had killer times seeing bands like the Melvins for 30 bucks or less
>>220087355they are if your name is chester
It's amazing. I love going to festivals and concerts.
>>220087375Introverts don't mind concerts because there is no expectation that you will talk to anyone. It's like a big party where you can just blend in and no faggots is gonna say, "anon you don't talk a lot" A small dinner party is way worse because you're locked in with a small group of people you have to engage with.
Women love music and love to dance they love Michael Jackson music
>>220087355Only small intimate ones. I oaid $30/ticket to see 4 bands. In a bar/venue with and open floor and knee high stage.
>>220087696The best shows are like 50-80 dollars. The most fun show I sent to was reel big fish. Just domt ever go to bands like spoon, they suck in person and the audience members are boring fags
>>220088187One time (think it was Crystal Castles) I saw a girl getting kinda manhandled and made a barrier between myself and them around the girl by standing behind her and putting my hand on the railing in front of her (we were in the front row.) of course everyone said I was the one being a creep.
>>220087355I went to Lola poolaza and had a good time. But I was mostly drunk the whole time. Depending what you want to do, the most fun is probably going to bands you dont really like because thats where the chick's are that will grind you.
>>220087375Im pretty introverted but i love festivals and concerts. Just load up the setlist and learn the songs you like by heart and vibe in the middle of the crowd. Nobody gives a fuck.
>>220087470>notting hill carnivalIsn't that n-word ground zero? Would not be caught dead there
as odd as it sounds, if you are physically able to endure these conditions and embrace them, it can be absolutely sublime. an almost transcendental experience. from the outside looking in moshing for example must seem like the most bizarre and irrational thing but people do it for a reason. its almost like a drug trip. the combination of the violent expending of energy, the movement as your body is tossed all over the place, and the music pleasurably stimulating your mind plus feeding you more an more energy to expend basically its an extremely sensual experiences in the literal sense of the word. its an extremely unorthodox sensory experience and your mind becomes lost in it, almost hypnotized and it feels like you are somehow beyond normal existence
>>220088843It is the biggest carnival in Europe. One of the biggest in the world too. Dwarfed by things like rio carnival and maybe new orleans marde gras. Both of which are also negro based carnivals.NHC is a carribean carnival.I am not scared of negros as well as negros in UK are not like amerinigs. Only amerinigs are like amerinigs, though the urban youth does have its own unique brand of niggery.
