In the Mood for Love.

Probably Being John Malkovich and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Both written by Charlie Kaufman now that I think of it.

You didn't like Adaptation?

Depite being very cheap and flawed, I found Run Lola Run very good, at least in concept

Never, because shit like this was recommended to me by other movie watchers, so obviously I wasn't.

I find people who think they're special and are like, 'muh capeshit' because they think it makes them cool to not like what everyone else likes fucking annoying.

Same with music. There's a reason pop music is called 'pop' music. Nothing wrong with liking some of that shit and more 'obscure' shit too.

The fact is, the average human will like some smattering of both if they're exposed to it, and most people ARE at some point. You're not special if you've only been exposed to one, or bloody-mindedly stick to one. You're more like a vegan child who had vegan parents and was never allowed to eat so much as a fucking burger, or the opposite, and have never eaten anything else but burgers. That wouldn't make you special, or cool, it would just make you fucking pathetic and sad either way.

Most people couldn't even imagine being some humourless pretentious faggot who couldn't laugh at some stupid popcorn flick, or conversely being so fucking soulless they couldn't appreciate something with a little more depth.

I don't know. Maybe Dante 01.

They're called paragraphs moron, (generally one per point you want to make or idea you want to express).

It's a pre-Internet thing. The kind of crap you just keep on doing, like capitalisation, even after the Internet was invented, because you understand how they work and you weren't raised on Twitter like a n00b faggot who thinks in bumper stickers and rarely has even one point to make, let alone more than one.
>>
>>220090593
capeshit is objectively bad, and so are modern movies
I don't say that because I'm le special, but because I wand good movies back
>>
>>220090593
Such bad b8

>>220090593
Why is it so popular to larp as "le down to Earth normalfaggot" on here? Especially when it's blatant that you're ten times more pretentious than a person drinking wine while watching Wavelength. Who are you trying to fool?

>I find people who think they're special and are like, 'muh capeshit'
Who are you talking about? Who thinks capeshit makes them special? It sounds like you're inventing an enemy in your head to shadowbox.

hey don't insult wine by lumping it in with redditors, wine is awesome

Anything in any genre can be good or bad. It's the ideas, characters, and writing that's good or bad.

You'll find the same faggots who dismiss a genre as 'simplistic' or 'childish fantasy' are watching and praising some other shit that isn't special/better in those same reductive terms either.
>eg, ZOMG! 'muh LotRs is sooooooooo deep man!'

What's actually special about 'The Godfather' vs 'Star Wars' that somehow makes one 'art' and the other not? From a certain point of view they're either a masterpiece or a pathetic fucking joke.
>Some mumling faggot and is literal mob of glorified guido thieves nobody gives a fuck about with names more laughable than anyone I've seen in a galaxy far, far away.

It's like retards who think a comic from Japan is automatically 'good' while any American comic am 'bad', and think knowing a Jap word that means 'Jap comic' or reading right-to-left makes some kind of difference. You get some really brilliant Nip-shit and you get some bloody awful crap that makes you want to drop another nuke on them. How hard is that to understand and admit?

>>220091139
Like saying the person who dresses like a normie is the pretentious one, rather than the girl with a septum ring and her hair painstakingly dyed rainbow colours. Who is the one going out of their way to be 'unique' and telling everyone else what they should like here?

If it wasn't for these wankers most of the conversation on this board would actually be people just talking about individual films and film production.

>>220091475
It sounds like you can't read.

I think his argument was supposed to be that people who say "capeshit is shit" are up their own ass because they are trying to distance themselves from what is popular.

My friends made me watch 8 1/2 and The Spirit of the Beehive when I was 16, and I thought they were such f*gs (my friends).

Several years later I would watch Primer and My Dinner with Andre and realize that I was more intelligent and superior to them.

It sounds like you're insane.
Literally, unironically, who are you talking about? Why are you throwing yourself into a rage over what these supposed nefarious other people do?

I seriously don't understand what prompted this mental breakdown of yours.

I remember my hipster friends in high school liked it. I saw it later in my college film class and thought it was pretty good. It has an interesting time-rewinding concept kind of like Groundhog Day.

Run Lola Run. It was only because it was on TV though, I didn’t seek it out. Another one was Fubar. Every person I’ve played Fubar for loved it. We all started shotgunning beers on the regular.
