*dies like a little bitch
>>
It's obvious they realized that the potato killing him was because they needed her shitty assassin arc to go somewhere

He didn't think old Valyrian steel would still be around. He probably didn't even know dragon glass would be weaponized. He wanted to kill the new three-eyed-raven, and he took a calculated risk. He died by happenstance. Ultimately, he shouldn't have been in the battle at all. He should have stayed beyond the wall and sent his armies forth to conquer. I guess he couldn't resist riding his new dragon around across the battlefield. Regardless, he was dumb.

He literally watched Jon kill one of the walkers with Valyrian steel at hardhome.

>super quick and agile
>falls for a gravity-based trick
Glad I dropped this show back in like season 3
>>
>>220095250
All this character building just to be killed in the lamest way possible
>>
>>220095457
One sword is no threat. He wasn't counting on many of them to be in the families and wielded by warriors in Westeros. Much less that they would unite together to fight his forces. Large quantities of dragon glass weapons was also unexpected.

So essentially he died because the plot demanded it.

Naturally. He was da big bad guy. Human ingenuity and teamwork had to save the day. It's storytelling 101, bro. It's like poetry; it rhymes.
>>
>>220095250
Why didn't Anguy just shoot him with a Valyrian arrow?
>>

> human ingenuity
That shit was no where to be found in the later seasons. The human characters were so dumb that the night king winning is the only logical conclusion.
>>
>>220095867
It's too rare to waste if he should happen to miss. Somebody would have to pay a premium price like Tywin did to reforge a sword into arrow heads just to take the chance. It's an expensive and wasteful method.

That's what makes fantasy stories compelling. There's always the elements of destiny and magic. The good guys versus the bad guys. Again: storytelling 101.
>>

No. You know nothing about GRRM's writing.
>>
>>220096158
As if he's a shining example of a storyteller.

That is the power of little girls.
>>
>>220095250
you sure didnt think that a literal force of nature with control over the dead, was somehow stronger than an empowered womyn
>>
>>220096344
>You fool! No one can kill me!
>I am no one! *stab*
I clapped
>>
>>220096135
>destiny and magic
Plot armor would be a more applicable term in this instance.

>we have the lich king at home
>>
>>220095250
Mightiest Necromancer is just no match for a tiny little girl
>>
>>220095350
should have had her kill cersei and die in the rocks with her instead off jaime.
even tho that is also a tropey end to a character thats driven by revenge.
>>
>>220099459
Cersei should have been killed by the Night King as he's destroying King's Landing after freezing most of Westeros. This series was built for a tragic ending
