No love or affection, but also no particular regard for each other. It was always like they just met and were clearly never going to become friends. Other kids cartoons/shows aren't like this. In Drake and Josh, Drake, the selfish and impulsive one who drives the plot more often, would like, care if Josh was seriously injured. Dexter would care if Deedee got hurt and vice versa. The blue one would not care if the other one died. Which with how evil and chaotic and unpredictable the blue one was, and how he didn't look human, it was like he was an actual demon from hell that has invaded this family and who the normal kid was forced to live with, psychically interfering with them just enough to not realise he wasn't always there and wasn't their child. It was awful.

I remember some cartoon that would run on YTV, it was just a collection of scary short stories, but in between stories there were live action puppet hosts that would interact. One puppet was a slimy worm, and I think the other was a gross fly. That shit traumatized me, especially the slimy worm.
