i thought The Edge of Sleep was an all right lower budget spooky show. Did it ever get another season?

The primary issues I remember:
cast black guy as his best friend/wingman. Mark plier's eyes are very close together. Black man's eyes were very far apart. This visual contrast was jarring and enhanced the reminder of the contrivance of casting a black friend as if that will be a plus.
Unlike scrubs or rush hour or whatever other goyslop that sold well - this negroid wasn't particularly entertaining. I never watched markplier as a streamer he was ok as a straight-man just trying to deal with extraordinary concept horror but the cast would have been stronger with a wingman that was believable as a friend, didn't look like an alien species next to mark nand visa versa, and had natural charm/charisma (the likeable friend compared to the everyman protagonist).

The girl cast as markplier's estranged girlfriend looked like a late 20-something with a case of old-haggard-face. Maybe that was accurate casting considering she was supposed to be a former junkie or something.

The supporting girl... the latina looking one thrown into the situation carried the performance(s).
