I don’t get it. Why would someone who lives in NYC, the Pizza capital of the world, go out of their way for Californian ‘za?
>>220100133He was going there for a Cajun pasta dish too.
>>220100133At this point in the show Greg had only moved to NYC pretty recently. Chain restaurants were probably something he still defaulted to without really thinking about it.
>>220102212i do the napkin of shame thing at mcdonalds
>>220102282kek that's pretty funny
>>220100133>I've never been there but I know that it's not pretty delicioushe's snobby. Imagine dismissing what could be great pizza just because you have a hate-boner for California (or Cali-Wali as us locals call it)>>220102282>>220102414idgi
>>220100133Tom is larping as much higher class WASPy and New Yorkery than he is because that's how he expects people in his position to act. iirc he's not referring to your average NY 'za here either, in this same episode I believe they go to a high end restaurant and he larps as if he can appreciate all the most expensive items on the menu. He uses Greg as an outlet for his own insecurities. Greg is literally just a normal guy at this point who suddenly found out he has a huge pile of money. He didn't live in NYC before the show and doesn't feel the pressure to fit in the way Tom does. They also have distinctly different personalities.
>>220104303I like how Tom's tryhard snobbishness is contrasted with Logan, who happily scarfs down a Big Mac in one scene.
>>220100133These two were the best part of this show.
>>220100133Nyc in succession is the best it has ever looked
