Nate is the bully from various 90s movies. Cassie and Kat were just topical characters. Cassie slut shaming and later abortion in s1 and she was given an affair with nate which was a plot line meant for Jules. Kat was fat shaming, Jules was Trans kids that was topical at the time.The characters don't have persistent characterization.Nate is only a stereotypical bully in season 1, in 2 he's a weird take on a sigma male, in three he's a better call saul character. Nate begins the series calling Cassie a slut and Cassie end season 1 having an abortion both which are never brought up again.
