There comes a point where it starts to imitate Game of Thrones, and the quality drops. But it's worth watching up to the Siege of Paris.

Absolutely agree, but I think the show gets at least a small boost after the next time skip. I think I ultimately dropped it during the Spain/Iceland season but I've been meaning to start it over again someday.

It all sets to Ragnar being ruler of Paris, and after that battle the series is mostly trash.
You can hatewatch for a bit for some closure on other stuff
Once Ragnar dies you can officially stop watching as there's nothing worth saving anymore, even if the series has like a couple more season after that? Wouldn't know, I stopped there.
