I think it's actually decent.
Had a black co-worker that wouldn't shut up about it and I made fun of him.
Apologized after watching it.

Impossible, Lincoln has no descendants today. His bloodline is gone, even his sister's only child was stillborn while she died during childbirth. I think it died because Vampires stop being cool

It's funny this movie was released the same year as Spielberg's historical drama Lincoln was.

I remember a joke I told back to my High school US history teacher in class back when it came out.

Yeah but that’s kind of the point. They were going for feral plantation-owner bloodsucker metaphors, not Hot Topic sparkle twinks.

The problem wasn’t that they weren’t sexy, it’s that the movie blew its load on slow-mo axe flips instead of actually leaning into the horror. If you’re gonna make Lincoln fight monsters, make it grimy and mean, not CGI trampoline WWE with top hats.

Monstrous vampires work. They just half-assed it.
