What are some boat kinos besides Master and Commander, The Terror and The Bounty (1962)?
The Bounty 1980s version has brown titties fucking everywhere man
>>220111248It's also a really good movie

>first half is boat kino>second half is ice survival kinodon't worry anon, I won't tell anyone you're getting your fix from old movies now
>>220113211>Voyage of the Sarimanokthese guys went through hell lol, on Kon-Tiki they just sat around on a flat raft playing cards the whole time
>>220112436This is a great show, it's a shame they couldn't continue the stories. It simply cost too much.

>>220111221>>220111248>>220111664The Bounty (numerous)if only women could understand numbers (and also boats, whatever those are)
>>220111817I was absolutely furious about this. I think I would have become violent, if it wasn’t for the historically accurate use of the signalling slide whistles and the bell providing enough music to keep me from punching the tv. As it was, I just kept complaining about the lack of horns being blown until my family refused to watch anymore with me.8/10, I really liked it.
>>220114932I have an extensive library, be a bit more specific please.
Northern Limit Line is a pretty good modern navy movie. Shows life on a smaller patrol vessel.
>>220114901Looks gay
>>220111221The Life Aquatic
>>220112298Bruh, there's captain phillips but no Treasure Island? What the fuck. Might as well put waterworld

>>220111221The current boat kino is the bwitish navy begging the USA for help
>>220117124Help with what? Last time I checked it was Trump begging NATO to send warships to Hormuz in between calling them useless leeches
>>220111221Cutthroat Island
>>220116926>"A pickle! Funniest shit I ever saw"
>>220111221Titanic was pretty good and won a few awards at the time. It has bewbs in it too.

unironically the first three Pirates of the Caribbeanif subs count, Das Boot, The Hunt for Red October, and U-571
>>220111664The best would be a mix with Hopkins and Brando as Fletcher. Mel Gibson acts too much like a lower class scum and not the educated well mannered gentleman
>>220117216You have no idea what you are talking about.>hormuz being closed fucks up europe not the USA>members of NATO are obligated to spend a certain amount on defense>they spent it on invading their own countries instead>The UK has 4 viable warships right now because they haven't spent money on defense in decades instead relying on the USA to protect them>they tell USA to fuck off>they apologize and say they will send a ship to do mine sweeping(the only menial task they're capable of... well I guess they aren't capable of it turns out)>takes them an entire month to mobilize a single destroyer HMS Dragon>it breaks down immediately>starmer warns putin there will be consequences if he uses the english channel to transport cargo>putin laughs and sends cargo ships escorted by warships>there are no consequences the uk cannot do anything>uk begs USA for helpmeanwhile everyone sees the UK is a paper tiger>Argentina says they're going to take itWhat if Argentina walks in and take over, possibly with Trump's approval? What exactly will keir starmer do? Send an angry email? Would Starmer even do anything?>england and europe are dependent on oil from russia (theri enemy in the ukraine conflict which again fucks up europe not the USA)I doubt you're even European, British, or American.
>>220118357Argentina may take the falklands back with trumps approval*
>>220112612Pure kino
>>220116926He who would pun would pick a pocket!
>>220118357I'm sure the UK is trembling in fear of the mighty Argentine navy
>>220118196Yes, Bligh was a commoner who worked his way up and was actually only a Lieutenant at the time, and Christian was a richfag.
>>220111664I laughed while reading up on what happened afterwards. The movie makes it seem like a happy ending. But on that desolate island the mutineers treated the Tahitian men like slaves and they eventually mutinied themselves and everyone killed each other. Only one guy survived to be found by the british. The women survived and lots of kids
>>220111221Captains Courageous Captain Blood - kindaThe Sea Wolf - 30s version
>>220112298>LongitudeNever thought learning about early clock making and in regards of naval navigation in particular would be so captivating.
Under Siege
Captain Blood, The Seahawk, Horatio Hornblower, The Master of Ballantree, Sinbad the Sailor and Captain Kidd are all great flicks, and the original Mutiny on the Bounty with Clark Gable and Charles Laughton is the best Mutiny on the Bounty. They don’t make good swashbuckling movies like they used to. Back in the 30s and 40s there were tons of them. It was a thriving genre.
>>220119924There’s also an excellent Three Musketeers movie starring Gene Kelly and Van Heflin and the original Errol Flynn Robin Hood is still one of the most fun action/adventure films ever made
>>220119924in the 30s you could go down to the docks and find a full-rigged ship just waiting to shoot kino
>>220111221The North Water
>>220118872I guess you can't read. The UK had 5 boats. It took them over a month to deploy one of them that is a gay little destroyer. It broke down immediately and they had to dock in the Mediterranean Sea. Outside of submarines the British navy has 4 ships. What is Starmer going to do? Will he even care? England has been spending its defense budget on refugee invasion and social benefits for them. Pretty sure Argentina has more ships than them and it's not even close. Plus no one int he UK wants to fight for starmer either.
>>220118872starmer is doing nothing about the russian warships escorting cargo ships thru the english channel like I said lol... he said there would be consequences if they even sent cargo ships thru. paper tiger! everyone sees. your'e a turdy NPC.
>>220123613I heard the royal navy currently has more admirals than actual warships. I get depressed whenever I think about England for too long.
Desolation Island>starring Dan Stevens as Aubrey>Simon Bird as Maturin>Finn Cole as Pullings>Romy Weltman as Ms. Wogan2 billies easy
>>220111221This is boat kino in a more loose sense but it’s still kino.
>>220123812it's ok bro that's why we came to america. no king rules forever
Das Boot, Das
>>220124047This is that anime about the teenagers piloting giant robots against aliens huh?
>>220123812bro they literally have 4 other than submarines since hms dragon broke down lmao theyre too busy seething about americans spelling color without a u to bother noticing
>>220112298This list is pretty strong, the only thing I would add is Greyhound (2020)
>>220125455Talk about a people being denied their culture and heritage. The USA obviously rules the waves now and we’re (supposed to be) allies with Britain and yet their retarded and evil government keeps them perpetually disarmed and helpless in every way they can so they’re not even capable of maintaining a respectable navy. Something went horribly wrong over there, it doesn’t need to be this
Treasure Island (1990)
>>220128559Fuck yes. I just came to post this.
>>220114984Dangerously based.
>>220113729It was kino from beginning to end. Most series aren't so lucky.
>>220111221The second half of Jaws
>>220128378I don't remember anything about this except I fucking loved it. I guess the chain locker scene
>>220111221The End of The Earth 2005 with Benedict Cumberbatch is excellent. Same quality as The Terror, as in you feel like you're actually there with the crew. Very well done.
>>220128718great cast, fun story, and the worst cgi ever put on a made for tv movie. i love it.

>>220112548she cute
>>220111221There are no more. It's all shit.
>>220112436I know this is a board meme and all, but if we're being serious for a moment, is this actually worth watching? I can't imagine some BBC tv show having the budget to do a naval story justice and not hampering viewer enjoyment by terrible production quality.
>>220132889its not quite sharpe but its pretty good
>>220132889It has great acting, visuals, and a decent budget. It's unironically excellent.
>>220119818>longitudei'm not much of a reader and that book flew by over a weekend. super interesting time in history
