The tone feels like they don't know if they want to be a cartoon or realistic drama. And when they are being cartoony it doesn't feel like a deliberate stylistic choice, it feels like they think the audience are just retarded manchildren. Which I don't get, because literally everyone likes the Spider-Man movies. They just want to focus on the few retards who like universes and shit I guess. Don't have to try with that audience. They'll always like it. Too bad for the rest of us.Also Tom Holland is fucking moron and deserves to be raped for taking advice from bots on the internet in 2025. Even on the 0.00000000000000000001% chance he listens to a real human on the internet it's just going to be a comic fan, not someone who actually cares about movies. Because only they are bitching. No one else cares. Everyone else would just say to do it like Tobey, if they cared enough to talk about it online. Also Tom is excellent at acting realistically, but that kind of acting is honestly just a novelty. You don't need to be realistic, its less fun than anything else. And that's part of the reason his trilogy doesn't hold up. That and his acting happens to outclass every other aspect of those movies especially the writing. And because of that and the fact the writers refuse to accept that and step out of his way, he doesn't even get a very good environment to show off his strengths as an actor. But that's probably a good thing because as I said, his hyper realistic zoomer performance was just a novelty. I hope he knows that at least. I hope he tries something different. And I hope that different thing is not trying to bring the comics of all things to life. There's a reason no one fucking reads them.(posting picrel because I don't even want to download a brand new day image to my thing)
