How did this happen?
>>
>>220112088
Did people look older back then or was it simply down to the way they dressed and the hairstyles of the time? Getting older fucking sucks.

I think there is something legitimate to the idea that the generations from before the Millennials usually looked a little older than post-Millennials do at similar ages. You could see this throughout the history of cinema.
>>
If I had to guess it's because TVs were in 480p back then.
>>
It's from all the shit they grew up with. Like smoking inside being so common and a couple other chemical exposures I forget, but have seen people talk about.
As for why millennials are aging so much better than gen z, I really have no idea. Diet related maybe? I'm about to turn 35 and people are often very surprised I'm not in my early 20s. I still get asked for ID for cigarettes and would get asked for ID for movies until I was around 30.
>>
The big difference is hydration and smoking/drinking less
>>
>>220112350
Starting a family earlier probably ages you faster, and on a physiological note people drink way more clean water now and more regularly than they used to. The idea of 8 cups per day is relatively new and something that millennials were raised on whereas prior generations were not. Add higher smoking rates and drinking rates and that would solve most of it.
>>
>>220112458
This also plays into it too
If you ever watch Seinfeld in 4K some of the scenes were lost so they're using 480p DVD shots for some of it and the characters look noticeably older when the details pop in vs when it's lofi
>>
Real sunscreen that actually protected you wasn't widely available until the 1980s, and use by children was sporadic until the 90s. That matters a lot later in life.
>>
>>220112088
Gen Y were born after lead paint was banned, and before microplastics levels got too high
>>
>>220112088
Gen Y had a perfect blend of safer regulatory restrictions prohibiting indoor smoking, no lead paint, and less alcoholic consumption than Gen X. They also didn’t excessively use technology and stay indoors as Gen Z do which decreases sun intake and leads to hair loss.

Frazier guy looks older than his age. He looks like he's in his late 30's in this pic.

Woody Harrelson honestly looks like he's in his early 30's due to his manly facial structure, not hair.

Shelly Long looks like a woman in her late 20's/early 30's.

Ted Danson looks like a man in his 30's.

Rhea Perlman Looks like a woman in her 30's. She just has fucked up hair.

Mailman looks like shit. He looks like he's in his late 40's/early 50's.

Kirstie Alley looks like a woman in her 30's.

Next woman looks like her age.

George Wendt looks a tad bit old for his age, but honestly looks like a man that never took care of himself.

>>
>>220112088
They didn't look bad on account that nowadays you have hairtransplants and the fact that makeup and hairstandards are different now: the fluffy hairspray look is dated for modern times and automatically makes you look older, and makeup standards have changed in terms of foundation and blush. Thick eyeliner and eyeshadow looks dated nowadays as a more natural look is in. I am not saying this means people don't wear make-up, but there is simply less contrast between the parts of the face.

Style matters to a degree but older generations weren't nearly as plastics and estrogen poisoned as post 1979 babies are, so physically they aged much much faster due to natural testosterone. Not to mention their skin was subjected to a constant stream of unfiltered sunlight, no moisturizing, smoking and 2nd hand smoke, drinking liquor all the time, never physically exercising beyond very basic shit like walking or occasionally lifting 30-50lb boxes, etc.

A lot of millenials look younger because of the aforementioned chemical poisoning which has lowered natural testosterone but also because they wear sunscreen and don't smoke and aren't alcoholics and got big into gym culture. Zoomers have aged worse because they started vaping at a young age and stay up all night staring at screens while their physical fitness culture is now injecting shit into their body to try and reach unobtainable standards that efluencer hucksters lie about being naturally achievable for anyone.

I used to think millennials were just rage baiting with this line but they all genuinely seem to believe that they still look 18 when they're all in their late 30s/early 40s, not sure what's causing this insane level of cope. Maybe it's because they thought they'd never get old and now that it's happening they're getting desperate and clinging to what little bit of youth they can still latch onto? I guess that'd explain why they're all man children who think it's cool to watch childrens cartoons at their age. You idiots are just as arrogant and delusional as your boomer parents lmao

That's not an old man haircut. That was a typical haircut for a guy in the 80's. Mostly the biggest thing is the clothing. Most guys are going around wearing a suit normally which you don't see anymore.

Hard to know if the meme was made by an ESL or a zoomer but neither group is well known for specifying proper context. Also they got Kelsey Grammer's age wrong, as he was 29 when he first joined the cast. The other ages are correct for their individual first seasons though I have no idea if the photos of them are actually from their first seasons. In the other direction, some of them might be a year younger since filming happens months before broadcast and most people don't have a birthday on January 1st.

Even if you're a man, providing for kids means you're working much more, sleeping less, and have no time for relaxing activities. That's how biology works across nature. Reproduction and offspring rearing are high energy input activities.
