Why hasn't there been a live action adaptation of this? I think the only semi weird parts are the fact Enkidu would be naked, but they have other films with naked characters, and the missing section that explains the spergout with the statues.
Is it too Christian adjacent because the flood of Noah is depicted and they mention Gilgamesh's city by name in the jewish bible?

because the only way people will watch those types of movies is if the cast are all white but since we are living in gay times we cant have that and if we cant have that then we will get a full brown cast instead that cant act for shit and then people won't watch it and the movie will flop and give all the producers of the movie PTSD

he's from a pre-biblical myth and he's notable because
>it's one of the first written stories we have
>it has a flood myth
>they specifically mention his city by name in the bible

Hahahahaha mad niggerish comment

I feel like in order for it to be properly adapted, you'd need to meaningfully change the characters and events because they essentially lack all context for the majority of the population. Maybe you could get away with some slightly updated context to meet a historical literacy centred around antiquity.

>there is a wild man in the hills!
>subdue him with sluts
>feed him bread and wine
>take him for a hunt
>watch him die
>cry to the gods and any who will listen
>A GREAT SECRET
>gods made man to be slaves
>man became too loud
>the gods drowned mankind
Great story
>>
Not sure but I'm willing to bet they shit-talk jews or pre-jews at some point in it

the story makes sense
>the king is a massive piece of shit (wow, so unlikely)
>people pray to the heavens
>the heavens give him a best bro to hang out with
>they do fun shit
>a Goddess wants his dick
>no way faggot
>she kills his BFF for not giving her the dick
>in his grief he tries to find immortality
>ultimately fails
>in his failure he reflects and decides if he can't be immortal he should stop being a massive piece of shit and becomes a good and just king

>why hasn't epic historical thing been adapted into a movie?
Because it would be really expensive and half the population (women) aren't interested
