Just hooked this baby up to my TV. Plays everything, runs every app I use to play stuff like Wholphin and Nuvio. I love it.

I just have a 1TB SSD I plug into my USB slot on my Samsung TV (crystal UHD) and it has a built in media player. I have 168 movies downloaded and a bunch of anime, a few other tv series. Gonna have to upgrade it eventually and it's going to be a pain when I have to transfer all those files to a larger storage.

it's pretty comfy being able to use all my browser plugins for stuff like youtube or play PC games on my TV. All the shitty boxes are inferior to an actual computer IMO

I recently got my first smart TV ever lol. A TCL TV. IDK what I was worried about because it's actually awesome.
I also really like the free TV stuff. Who the fuck wants to watch modern cable when shitty free TV has stuff like Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmerman 24/7 for free.

I honestly just have my laptop, that I use like a desktop, set to share a folder that I dump movies in. Then, since all TVs run android now, run VLC on the TV and just stream the files from the shared folder.

It's pretty easy and I don't know why people still use HDMI cables.

i still have one of the first Fire Stick TV and use Prime and Disney+ but sometimes I just screencast something from my phone if need a movie or series outside of the 2. I still torrent but only a few movies that I really like.
