What did we think about it
I didn't realize how good an actor Andrew Garfield was until i watched this kino. I think Scorsese is overrated compared to most people but I really enjoyed this film. Probably his best of the last 15 years
>>220118677accents annoying and mess up the acting, and then neeson didn't even do one so what was the point
>>220118677The Japanese were spot on. Based that William Adams helped redpill them on Catholics and Jesuits
A movie about an interesting historic event (the clash between different religions) that I hadn't seen in cinema before, so it was cool to watch recreated in a movie.I remember Driver, Garfield and Neeson doing a good job. I specially remember Driver being good. I liked that scene where he is on the beach watching how the the other people are drown and he tries to help them.
>>220118677I thought the ending was reaching, the film was just a vehicle for Adam Driver proving he was capable of being a great actor, also a lot of Christians don't realise how they just insist on other people just like the rest of the Abrahamics.
>>220118677Scorsese best picture of this century
Jewish atheist subversive propaganda made by Jews for naive gullible goyim masquerading as a pro Christian film.Martin is definitely a crypto Jew, just look at Last Temptation.Pure. Jewish. Drivel.
>>220118677Was this the one with the Christians and the nips? I never finished this one
>muslims colonising Japan BAD>christians colonising Japan GOOD???
>>220121931Prottie meltdown, spiritually incapable of handling Catholikino
>>220122008Muslims raid and conquer, christians build missions.
>>220122147Missions impose themselves, that's how they work, if a missionary goes to some uncharted island, he expects to convert the islanders to God/Christ, he does not care for the islanders untouched motivations.
Let's talk about that scene with the voiceover of the chronicler "Dieter Albrecht". It was completely meaningless and confusing to use that name instead of referring to the real name Engelbert Kaempfer. And in one scene the character Dieter Albrecht appears behind Liam Neeson's character. But there are no clues to the audience about it whatsoever
>>220122008>colonizing by sending celibate priests
>>220122527colonising of ideology
it's kino
>>220122527they don't have to have sex, the people they put the book into do it for them, just like in the film The Mission with the tribals in South America
>>220121863I don’t think it’s the best this century but i do think it’s Scorceses best
>>220122247They still give you a choice, which is why Japan never turned christian.
>>220122527It's The root of communists, where they take inspiration from, the eternal oppression and revolution gathered the eyes of all those who are actually suffering and subverts their struggle by making it about Christians/communists/revolutionaries being massacredNorth Korea oppresses everyone equally, but muh Christians are repressed so hard that it boils the western world. What about the rest
>>220124605that is true, and probably why missionaries have a harder time than the Muslims, but I still think approaching tribals with the book AND also things like working toilets, civil engineering and drinking water is dishonest. I mean, it's not wrong, but it is duplicitous.
>>22011867724karat kino.pic related is top-tier too
