>the only thing that kept him in touch with his "humanity" was relentlessly simping for his oneitis, who married his bully.
grim, like the omen, but it was written by a woman so I suppose it is understandable. Also, bullies should be forced to undergo sex-reassignment surgery in order to save xem but also because it would be pretty funny.

yeah, Rowling kind of killed his character in the last books. He went from deep ex-villain in redemption to "I wanted to fuck that pussy so hard I sacrificed my whole life for a boy that came out of it". The craziest part if that millennial women were totally ecstatic about this reveal. Could've been a very deep anti-hero who overcame his evil past, but women really like their raped humiliated man fetish fantasy

But wasn't it all planned from the get-go? Isn't that the reason why he was so hell-bent on apprehending Black, as revenge for Lily? Or was the initial idea just because of resentment from the childhood bullying?

I don't think Rowling seriously planned for more than 1 book before it became popular, so in the first book Snape was an endgame plot twist. The evil strict gloomy teacher is actually a good guy, and the shy stuttering coward teacher is actually the villain. Pretty alright for a children's book. I think the foreshadowing of Snape's simp arc began when HP was rebranded from a kids fairy tale to le serious deep fantasy about magic Hilter, so somewhere between 3rd and 4th books.

j.k. rowling retcons her own shit in every book and comes up with new shit on the fly.

The weird thing about her is she's just your average white girl. Snape, my man, bitches like her are a dime a dozen.

Rowling was right because he's literally me minus the bullying.

She planned some things, but not the details exactly no.
>>220126759
She had some ideas planned but I think you're correct, she wasn't expecting at the time to get more than the philosopher's stone and wrote it as a self contained children's story.
>>220127794
She planned some things. A lot of things are clearly telegraphed in the books from the 1st one to the last one. There's details she didn't though and retcons yes.

Love is such a delusion and you are not a human just because you have an obsession with a woman who does not reciprocate it. It doesn't make you "deep" or "nuanced" or something else. It just makes you a man bereft of an honorable existence.

It's not an obsession if you actually sacrifice for her happiness every day. It does make you a simp lacking in pride but I think there is honor and humanity in unrequited love. I agree there's nothing deep or nuanced in it.

>bullies should be forced to undergo sex-reassignment surgery
sounds like a hentai plot
