Every real life thing they try to tackle is so blatantly obvious at this point. If something is in the news for more than a month then you can safely assume it's getting an episode. (Prime drinks, ChatGPT, every political thing they've touched on)Compare that to a plot being kickstarted because Cartman is eating the skin off KFC chicken, it's not news network worthy but a lot of people have done that before so it has became iconic.
