They didn't understand the assignment. Unsolved Mysteries was a news show with a charismatic host. Netflix production doesn't lend itself to a news show, so their version is just another weird cases show. You can find similar, better done content on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC6Ufhjv9_8

>Unsolved Mysteries was a news show

it said right at the beginning it was not a news broadcast. The netflix shows are entertaining and they did capture the spirit of the orginal show while spending much more time on each mystery. But some of the cases were just suicides that were creepy like the guy who disappeared on a trip to Washington DC and was found dead in a dumpster in Virgina. There was evidence he was having a mental breakdown and just wandered off and died of exposure in the winter. Part of the fun is going on reddit and finding out the facts they left out of the episode to make it more mysterious.

Doesn't matter, it was a news show that aired on NBC news. NBC required the disclaimer because of the inclusion of paranormal segments.

I enjoy the paranormal/ufo episodes. Some of the other ones are interesting but I only tune in for the good stuff.

No, and I love unsolved mysteries. The OG show had amazing music, great cinematography and practical reenactments, legit great mysteries and of course, Robert Stack.

Netflix's bastardization of a great series does the following:
>Shit cinematography i.e shaky camera, poor quality backdrops for those being interviewed, shit reenactments.
>Shit stories. No one cares about some gay zoomer or millennial disappearing. Also, as sissy faggots primarily watch netflix, cases of rapist and assaulters are omitted to ensure no triggering.

The only good thing about this show is that Netflix must be truthful about the cases, such as accurate descriptions. This means they cannot blackwash or gaywash existing characters (the shtick they are known for) . Still, it's not worth watching.

Most of the segments in the original series were really good. The only ones I avoid are the lost loves, especially with adopted children who want to find their birth parents. Like, they gave you up for a reason, so why search for them?
