Almost all of the original characters were dead at that point but we still had paulie and sylvio's antics to entertain us. It's not exactly a satisfying ending to show, we don't get follow ups with any of the main characters, we don't get to see what happened to tony's gang after or how dr. melphi reacted to the news that tony had been whacked. It's not that I didn't understand the ending, I just don't like the way it was handled. If they didn't want it to be ambiguous at all, show us tony's death then show us his funeral.
