Cazale really is the best actor far as number of films that are quality vs bad ones. Watched The Conversation today and thats the last of his full length movies I had to see and they're all good. Conversation is total schizo kino, I suggest you watch it right away if you haven't seen it.

It's a beautifully shot and paced film. Sure, you might feel the message is played because, sadly, we have come to accept that we are constantly being surveilled, but that's nothing to judge the film by.

The unofficial sequel is will Smith in enemy of the state with hackman playing the same sort of character (jack black, the winter Kennedy and what's his name from Austin powers). It's sort of slop but also great, especially if you have just finished the conversation.
