Predator Badlands is the only AvP film to answer the one basic demand fans have: that the stories should be set in the far future when Weyland-Yutani have colonised the galaxy. Even though Badlands has its flaws, it understands that essential requirement. Yet /tv/ will still largely defend the first two AvP films over Badlands, films that take contemporary Earth as their setting; worse still, AvP 2 is set in smalltown America, a backdrop it shares with a thousand cheap and shitty slashers.
