So this guy and all the other people with weird abilities; it's all because of the woods being tainted with lodge aura, right? The woods with the lodge portal are taken to the mill and used to build the town, so it seeps into everything and everyone to an extent. Am I getting this right?

I never thought about it that way but it's a cool theory. One of the first things Coop notices when coming to twin peaks are the douglas firs, the log lady communicates with her husband through a log, Josie gets turned into a wooden knob and so on
