What are some #wholesome Japanese or South Korean kinos that I can finally get into so I can #levelup with my /tv/ friends? I tried watching but couldn't get into it. Maybe suggest for me a cool #wholesome romance?

/kdg/ for korean shows.
Watch Kurosawa's filmography for Japanese kinos. His most famous is Seven Samurai, which I think is overrated. His actual best is The Bad Sleep Well, imo.

>My Dress-Up Darling
>You and I are Polar Opposites
>My Clueless First Friend
I enjoyed these.

He's the most famous (too Westerners) name in Japanese cinema. Yasujiro Ozu is supposedly more authentically japenese, though.
