The show was funny before, what is this shit? Episode about bathroom trans issue? Episode about female ghost busters? Episode about charactes saying "onions beta cuck" and "cuckolding" and playing Rick roll meme music? "Make Paddy's great again"?

Wow one abortion episode and one gay marriage episode, both of which are complete boring garbage and back when the show was trying to be edgy seems very different from the writers outright chceking the internet and going "wow, people say basedboy beta cuck a lot now... let's say it 10 times in the show".

the show sucks now but not because it's political, it HAS always been political, the political satire they write just isn't funny anymore.

I'm 40 now and i just realized that i despise everything people my age are writing. The stuff that i like is written by actual baby boomers and early genX. I have never liked this whole irony and sarcasm poisoned culture where every character is written to be smartest, quirkiest and funniest person in the room.

That doesn't mean that i don't like comedy or witty banter but it has to be of the combative and confrontational kind. Like characters trading edgy and shocking insults. I just think that is almost a lost art. Everybody just writes their characters to be self deprecating, oversharing and quirky. That is not enjoyable, it makes them pathetic.
