Keep nothing and start from scratch. Neither his version nor Snyder version are good. The truth we hardly ever speak off is that we judged Singer/ Brandon Ruth too harshly back in the day because of the kid´s plot but that is, more or less, the tone and aesthetic a Superman movie ought to have, maybe something more timeless, a Superman´s equivalent to Burton´s Batman Gotham only less goth/dark and more exaggerated art deco.

And yes, off course you start with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Nobody gives a fuck about Suicide Squad or Blue fucking Beetle. Want to go a tier lower than the main poster boys? Ok, use the Teen Titans... suicide squad and the like is pushing it.
