Which one of these is the greatest movie of our boomer generation?
gladiator and it isn’t close
>>220165054Both are good though the fuck are you talking about?
>>220165098I’m talking about gladiator being a much better movie
>>220164953
Neither.
>>220164953Gladiator is the superior movie. I like Braveheart, but it suffers too much from cliche old hollywood swashbuckler trope shit.
>>220164953Both have downs, gladiator has better visuals and more impact, but the action is shitty. Braveheart is a lot more emotional, you feel the stakes in everything but scotland looks like shit and is a boring setting. I enjoy rewatching gladiator more but I don't think it's better than braveheart.
>>220164953I'm scottish. I grew up in the highlands. When i was younger some of the kids in my school had parts as Extra's in brave Heart. I still prefer Gladiator
>>220164953Scots should take pride in the movie and be forever thankful to Mr. Gibson for creating such a true and historically accurate depiction of a formerly and relatively little known historical figure whose acts and bravery can be revered. Prior to BH, the rest of the world only knew of Scotland as the rainy place above England where people talk funny and the men wear dresses. Now, they're known for a blue faced mad lad who loved and fought for his country and Freedom, all while wearing a dress.
>>220164953Gladiator because of production, screenwriting and historical accuracy values
>>220167821>historically accurate
>>220164953Braveheart is better. More compelling characters and emotion and it just feels more real to me. Gladiator is great though.
>>220165184WRONG.Gladiator has all kinds of teleportation goin on. It's shit.
>>220168522better storytelling. cope about it
