This isn't even a Godzilla movie. It's a fuckin t-Rex invades New York movie. "Zilla" gets one shot by the actual Godzilla in Final Wars. This movie isn't as bad as people say but mentally I don't consider a real Godzilla movie. Just kind of a fun 90s flick.

Godzilla 2000 mogs it hard
It's really not. It might be better than one or two of them, but most of the Jap Godzilla movies know what they are and don't try to be something they're not. They have a charm and fun to them that Godzilla 98 just doesn't. It has its moments but it's pretty dull and derivative overall and just not a fun time.

In the 90s I used to enter random contests and win them all the time. I entered one at the mall for this movie and won a ton of Godzilla 98 merch, backpack, keychains, that kind of stuff. Still have some of it. No copy of the actual movie though. I never watched it until much later, but I thought it was quite good. It's basically like the third best Jurassic Park sequel.
