George still hasn't paid for what he did to this kid.
>>
>>220174442
How do you know that? Are you Jake's former pimp?
>>
>>220174442
And Jar Jar's actor.

Everyone you have ever known was a child at one point.
>>
>>220175027
And a stupid one at that.
>>
>>220174442
George didn't do shit, that kid was gonna crack regardless. Even his own mother said so, you know how true something has to be for a mother to not blame someone else for her kid's problems?
>>
remember the internet petition to get Star Wars Kid into Episode III?
>>
>>220175143
he comes off like a pretentious prick in interviews. i expected him to just be a bit of a bad boy (you never know who a child actor will become), but he talks like he's above Star Wars now that he's pulled himself up by his bootstraps and put himself through college.

obviously those are good things, but he just doesn't understand modesty. it's like hearing Burt Ward talk about how Batman was HIS show (and also beneath him).
>>
>>220175143
I wouldn't trust the parenting skills of anyone who willingly hands over their kid to Hollywood
>>
>>220175260
That's how you get books like I'm Glad My Mother Died
>>
>>220175260
All the more reason to not blame George.
>>
>>220175143
This. His mother said she hid him from any online criticism so he wasnt even away of it. Apparently Jake has straight up schizophrenia regardless of being in a movie when he was a kid.

Ah, there we go, some calibration from /tv/
>Casts a child actor in a successful (for better or worse) movie
Bad
>Diddles kids
Good

What a cute lil shota, shame things turned out like they did.

It was the autistic boomers now in their 50s or 60s losers who did that they are the people who loved the Farce Awakens in 2015
>>

Mike Stoklasa personally ruined this kid's life.

Mods.

It wasn't George's fault. It was those damn Boomers and Gen Xers

Reminds me of some cringy instagram comic saying you have to feel bad for violent criminals because they were babies at one time. Yeah well so were their victims, and plenty were unbearable rotten brats from birth

what exactly does "worth" mean in this context?
like, does he have $25k in savings or does he earn 25k a year?
>>
>>220181718
some guy at TMZ will look at your public assets and your last few movie deals and then rounds up to the nearest thousand/million.
>>
>>220174442
Yeah, George should have picked the other child, but his yes men were to afraid to say that maybe Jake was not the best person for the role. You can see this in the behind the scenes. After George leaves then the yes men start to talk how they did think that the other child was a better fit, but because they were cowards they just said yes to George. I swear, it's better to have an enemmy at your side than to have yes men. At least you enemmy will force you to improve and he will not sugarcoat when he really wants to criticize you.

I watched a video of some of the auditions and I think Jake was the right choice from the brief clips I saw. He had a certain naive charm to his performance but with a weight of underlying trouble to it, hard to put my finger on, but he definitely came across as a star more strongly than the others. Some of the others were perhaps more talented actors but he had character.

How does someone play a main character in one of the highest grossing movies ever made and end up poorer than me?
