Anyone remember this show?
Feel like I'm the only person that ever watched it.
>>
>>220188454
I loved it while it was on, but it's one of those shows that yeah, I've always felt like a cult of one on it.
Many such cases with UPN/WB/CW shows. It was either the show every person in your dorm/clique was obsessed with or something you knew like one other person who liked the show.
>>
>>220188454
I'll pretend to remember it if you pretend to remember "Breaking In"?

I think that's the name. Same guy from Reaper.
>>
>>220188454
I'm the other person on earth that watched it. Missy Peregrym was hot. The guy playing the devil was 10/10.
>>
>>220188454
Yeah I remember, it was complete garbage. Watch, Todd vs the Book of Pure Evil, or Dead Like Me, or Pushing Up Daisies or literally any other supernatural comedy show.

The guy playing the devil was the best actor

Ray Wise how can you not know who Ray Wise is and function on an internet board devoted to television?
>>
I'll be honest with you and say the best episode of the series was the pilot. Which, coincidentally enough, was directed by Kevin Smith and is probably the only good thing of note he's done besides Clerks and Dogma. And it wasn't even his script.
>>
>>220188647
He didn't use his name, so what? It's casual bro. Not an IMDB forum.
>>
>>220188647
I checked his filmography and I genuinely haven't watched anything he's starred in apart from Reaper and Tim & Eric.
>>
>>220188682
I'll always think Mallrats is good and will always enjoy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back as a quality satire.

Absolute smokeshow.
>>
>>220188754
You really should watch Twin Peaks.
>>
It's a show that felt better than it was.
>>
>>220188802
It's on my to-watch list along with a million other things.

>>220188790
She had a minor role in the first series of Heroes which is where I first saw her. Was pretty happy to see her when I started watching Reaper. No-one else I knew IRL watched or cared to watch it though

>Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back + Mallrats
You're both right!

I won't be bold enough to suggest Chasing Amy. But it was the last time Joey Lauren Adams was hot. /tv/ says the wall comes fast? She hit it at like 25 yrs old (Harvard Man).
>>
>>220188945
>Joey Lauren Adams
That was her name!
I always forgot to look her up/remember her name. She had a cute voice while she was young (pre-wall, like you mentioned).
>>
>>220188945
I'd go as far as to say Zach and Miri Make a Porno was charming
But he falls into that classic problem director category of he was a big horror and sci-fi nerd, but he cannot direct those genres for shit.
>>
>>220189384
Now that is one film I'll never watch. Rogan and Banks are my nightmare pairing. Like, when I go to Hell, I'll be watching their films all eternity.

Watch Orgasmo instead.
>>
>>220189439
Orgasmo is fantastic and I haven't watched that one in a while, but I'm more tolerant to Elizabeth Banks and Dude Weed Man than most people on this board.
>>
>>220189439
>Orgasmo
You can come to my birthday party, Anon.
>>
>>220189606
I'm in! What's on the agenda? And strippers are a MUST.
>>
>>220190167
Let's just say there will be Reaper but with only one "e"
*wink*
>>
>>220188454
i remember it, it was a fun show
>>
Redpill me on Reaper. Worth a watch?
>>
>>220192593
It's a pretty entertaining show with a fun cast, but you have to go into it knowing it got abruptly cancelled and ends on a cliffhanger
>>
>>220192740
I can deal with that. I've been looking for some cool 2000's TV shows and/or movies to watch. Ideally as early 2000's as possible but this looks like it fits the bill nevertheless. I'll check it out. Thanks, anon.
>>
>>220192593
It's a fun show. Comfy early 00s vibes, fun MOTW format, Ray Wise hams it up to the max.
>>
>>220188556
No love for "Breakin In"? I hope u anons get crabs and build a bee hive in your pee hole.

You all came looking for kino. But are making me sell it. OK fu I will
> Christian Slater

> Odette Annabelle
and oh yeah,

Screw this thread I'm breaking.

Reaper is a great show. It's peak CW in nature. Good amount of humor due to the leads friend group on the show. S1 is mostly hey go do what the devil tells you as far as capturing escaped souls from hell.
S2 leans into a bigger story arc about maybe he can escape the devil's contract. Except as others have said due to no S3 you don't get full closure. Basically everything Bret Harrison or Tyler Labine did in around 2005 or so is pretty good. The Son's of Tucson is really good too.
>>
>your parents sold your soul so the devil wants you to act as the grim reaper for escaped souls
>but also there are literal demons on earth already and they can fly and have powers but he wants you to do it because ???
>well actually you're his son and he was testing you and trying to make sure you were evil by...having you send evil people to hell or something?
>well actually actually you're NOT his son but you're the product of a demon and a human so he thought you would be a threat to him because ??? so he made you be a grim reaper because ??? instead of simply killing you which he could've done at any point
Some parts were enjoyable, but it didn't make any sense. Also they spend alot of time on giving the fat guy a literal waifu and then she just leaves abruptly.
>>
>>220188578
>Missy Peregrym was hot. The guy playing the devil was 10/10.
Yes and yes!
>>
Probably one of the funniest characterizations of the devil and a fun show. Really wish it hadn't been cancelled. A fun enough idea. I doubt I'll ever rewatch it but I would've loved to see it end for real.
>>
>>220188454
I loved it, pissed that it was cancelled.
To this day I still think of Tyler Labine as "that dude from Reaper" which is funny because I think of the main dude, Bret Harrison, as "that dude from Grounded For Life."
>>
>>220188454
I did and >>220188538 is correct, UPN/WB/CW was cleverly marketed to affluent young demographics in the midwest in the 2000s
If you know someone who worked at CW you'd know all the shenanigans that happened, it was a wild ride to hear
