There are less and less posts about Robin Williams with every passing week. He is slowly but surely being completely forgotten by the sands of time. Someone that special to those of us who grew up in the 90s, is all but a footnote who will soon be never recalled again. One of the biggest tragedies that I can recall is not that Robin Williams committed suicide, it is that even this would become an item of distant, vague memory.
>>220195180I never thought he was all that funny anyway. He’s actually pretty annoying in interviews and stuff too. All in all I found him to be a much better dramatic actor than a comedian or comic actor
>>220195180Should have been a rapist pedo like Bill Cosby and Woody Allen, then everyone would remember.
>>220195180We already have a Robin Williams thread.>>220192822
>>220195180Happens to the best of them, anon.Buster Keaton, Red Skelton, Ed Wynn, Jerry Colonna and Jimmy Durante were some of the most beloved comedians of their time and hardly anyone talks about them either.
people already stopped caring about him before he killed himself
>>220195441Good point. Michael Jackson even has a big budget biopic out in theaters as we speak.
>>220195180There's a certain generational curiosity which is bound to wrap around at some point (what the hell was Mork and Mindy?, the stand-up acts, etc), but over time it still tends to zero. People are most interested in what's directly in front of them, in life. Also, suicide is always a good career move although his was a bit late. The body of work is there, it'll be re-appraised as time passes.>>220195559The Buster Keaton webms that are posted here regularly are a good indication of what I'm talking about, although it's niche (which goes to my above point). I confess to never having taken any interest in any of the others you've mentioned (also to my above point). I am suggesting that Williams and his work may get like one or two generational bumps, then they'll fade as your other four names (I recognize only two names, and I'm fairly educated) have obviously faded for me. In Williams' case the brown inheritance of the earth will accelerate the process.
Yawn
>>220195180I grew up with rw and have no strong feelings towards him or his death one way or another
He was hilarious in this film
>>220195759>The Buster Keaton webms that are posted here regularlyBy the same guy or small group of anons. That doesn't mean he's popular to the masses

>>220195180he was so good in jumanji. what a weird and great movie. it seemed like his best performance IMO. which is strange that it was given in that movie. never realized until now but i think jumanji has to be in my top 10 all time.
>>220195180I won't ever forget that movie, what is it called? The King Fisher or something. yeah, that one.
GOOD MORNING, POPEYE!!!
