Have you ever fake watched/enjoyed a movie or show just to fit in with normies?
>>
Nope
>>
>>220205103
No. I hate people that do that shit.
>>
>>220205103
no, just sports
not lately tho
>>
>>220205103
No.
>>
>>220205103
The Big Bang Theory with my parents.
>>

What is a "normie", in your words?

I've been having sex since my 20s and I have grandkids now, yet I still come to 4chan. Am I a "normie"? What makes you, in some vague insubstantiated way, different and, implied, "superior" to these supposed normies?
>>
>>220205103
I tried watching a show called Them with a girl I like but it's a race baiting Jordan Peele project and I can't contain my disdain and had to tell her I'd kill myself if I had to watch another episode
>>
>>220205228
Basically, if you weren't already using the internet daily in the '90s then you're a 'normie'.
>>
>>220205103
No, but I do to fit in with /tv/.
>>
>>220205159
I keep up with my city's football team because its all my coworkers talk about
>>
>>220205103
What's the difference between a normie and a normalfag?
>>
Yes I was home from college visiting my parents. Trying not to be an antisocial naysayer I agreed to see Guardians of the Galaxy with them. Awful movie. So embarrassing.

Normie is not something you are aware that you are. The spergs, the autists, schizos, NEETS, real recognizes real. Easily put, everyone that isn't us is a normie. Idiot.
>>
My mom wouldn't shut the fuck up about a handful of a24 movies, and I couldn't be assed so I just watched highlights reels so I could nod along.
Does that count?
>>
>>220205103
On my own? Absolutely not. As part of a group or netflix and chilling? Yes.
>>
>>220205443
>real recognizes real
This is normie negro lingo. I found the normie.

I watched the last season of Game of Thrones with my brothers and sister-in-law, basically just because there was a cute new girl at work who was really into it. Now I kind of miss when I was attracted to her.
>>
>>220205103
no, if it's in a theater I'll watch it all but I'll still let them know it was shit. If it's at someone's house I'll either try to get them to watch something else or just go do something else.

A friend of mine made me suffer through picrel thinking it was the funniest movie ever.
I pretended to like it, secretly wishing I was watching sweet smell of success for the hundredth time instead
>>
>>220205103
Yes, my coworkers insisted I go out with them to watch part 1 of that marvel bad blue guy movie.
movie theater was nice, had recliner seats.
I managed to get some good sleep time in
>>
I watched about 20 minutes of a movie and said I saw it does that count I got the general gist of what was going on

I sat through Avengers Age of Ultron for a friend's birthday. What a piece of shit movie (even by the low standards of capeshit).
>>
fuck i wish
i'm usually struggling to endure a 20 minute compilation of tiktoks/vines that someone else is grinning over.
i feel so alone

What if I have been using it daily since about 2003? I was born in 1995 . When I was about 8 I started lurking gaming forums
>>
>>220205103
plenty of times

i never criticize the movies, usually just figure i'm not the target audience, or maybe i was just in the wrong mood for it
plus i don't want to hurt the feelings of people who actually enjoy it, since people take that shit as a personal attack
at the end of the day, we're just bonding, the movie is totally secondary anyway.

I watched predator and kept looking at my watch
>>
I used to do that. When someone was like "oh man this new biopic/fotm show is the best thing I've ever seen" I would be like "yeah cool I loved it too I liked the part where [thing happens]" but as I've grown up I've realized simply asking them what they like about it and saying I'll check it out is enough. Most people say things because they want to tell you something, it's not really a two-way exchange so feigning (or in my case showing genuine interest) in what they like about something is more than enough to carry a conversation

No, but I've done it in the past with football.
>>

When ever my friends have asked me to watch a goyslop show, I give them a hard 'no' and if they press I respond with "it's just not my thing." I wonder if they realize just how racist I am.
>>
>>220205103
No, that's weird
