It’s hard to overstate how influential those guys were on millennial culture. It’s too bad that the movies are nothing like the show. The show where a bunch of skateboarders ride shopping carts into bushes and ride kayaks down staircases while 96 Quite Bitter Beings plays in the background was iconic and touched a nerve. Their content now is more like a Japanese game show or Fear Factor. It’s just slop. I don’t get why anyone watches it.

I just finished watching the show and the movies. Johnny Knoxville is by far the best cast member, then Steve-O. They’re the ones who do the most stuff that I wouldn’t want to do. After them it’d have to be Pontius and Dunn. They do a bit more harder to do stuff than the other guys and they aren’t really ever pussies either. Then it’s Bam, Ehren, and Dave. Ehren does a bit more painful stuff, Dave does more gross stuff, Bam by far has the more interesting tv/movie personality and is the better entertainer. Then it’s Preston and wee man who just have their gimmicks as the fat guy and midget. All in all though, jackass would be nothing without Knoxville and Steve-O to a lesser degree, they really carried it, but Dunn, Pontius, and Bam are great supporting cast. The hate on Bam is way overplayed.
