There is no easier place to survive than an island if you can find a stable water source that isn't just coconuts. Assuming you don't get sick or hurt, you could survive for a good long time if you weren't completely useless. If you were useless, you'd walk up that mountain and jump from it after a month or so, if you made it that long.
