After years of a normalfag friend of mine insisted that I watched this because it was "the best series ever made", I finally relented and watched season 1. Can't believe how utter dogshit this was. And I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because everywhere else I only see praise for this slop. Am I crazy or is this disgustingly overrated? Also, does it get fucking better? I still have 5 seasons to go.

You have blacks, gypsies, the Italian fucking mob, fucking Chinatown, etc. The thing that I find the most grating though is the soundtrack, it's all obvious contemporary bullshit. I hate this so much. Also I cannot take the protagonist seriously at all, especially because he tries so hard to be taken seriously.

It'a cringeworthy sometimes, but then they went and pulled off one of the best episodes of TV of all time in the Season 2 finale. I grew up with this show and I loved a lot of it, but the new movie was absolute shit.
