>the sixth movie in history to be 100% computer animated that got a worldwide theatrical release (after Toy Story, Antz, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, and Shrek)
>completely flops at the box office
What went wrong?
>>
this fucking movie, if it had been a success you would have seen a lot more advances in photorealistic CGI a lot more quickly. instead it flopped and no one touched that technology for years.

anyway it didn't have cloud or sephiroth, Final Fantasy to most audiences then = FFVII. and the characters they did use were soo boring, it's so clear the japanese didn't understand how bad the English voice lines were both on paper and during recording.
>>
>autistic science fiction plot that didn't appeal to normies
>Not enough crystals and swords to appeal to FF fans
